Stop Shop: 2nd Ave Value Store (Essex, MD)

It’s evident that every thrift store carries the same items. You’ll find clothes, housewares, vintage pieces, and junk of course. This particular thrift store is one that I go to when I’m looking for scarves or purses to use for DIYs. This thrift store is one of many 2nd Ave Value Store’s and it’s won Baltimore’s Best a few times. It is located in Essex, Maryland at 10 Stemmers Run Rd.

Long wall LOADED with bags to look through. They keep the used designer bags closer to the register but you sure to find Nine West, Jessica Simpson, and maybe even an old Kate Spade on this wall if you're lucky.

I picked 3 this trip and ended up buying only the middle one. Went back for the green so I could add sequins and give it an Indian look... it was gone.

Embellished clutches are big this fall and you can always find one or two at the thrift store. Either buy or DIY one.

If you stop in now you can browse the winter coats and the used designer bags. This is also the place to come for glassware. In all my years of visiting this store, I don’t know that I ever bought but one article of clothing. That could be because I’m small and there isn’t much I like in my size so still give the clothes a go. If you find any thing you like, someone else will like it too so buy it because I guarantee you that it will not be there when you come back.

In addition to this there is an aisle dedicated to coats and another has leather jackets and coats.
